Those were the years in which Samsung and Toshiba developed NAND flash technology, which still represents the standard in all types of flash memory: from that moment on SSDs began to spread more and more and cost less and less, up to to the boom of the years 2010-2012, in which they imposed themselves on hard disk drives (hard-disk drives or HDDs) in all the main areas thanks to their superior characteristics of speed and reliability.
